To the editor:

You need to know about Senate Bill S.25, introduced by U.S. Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas.

The United States government can seize all the assets of El Chapo, the notorious, and vicious drug trafficker whose Sinaloa drug cartel poured drugs and weapons into America through our southern border for over a decade before he was caught. The El Chapo Act S.25 will order the convicted drug lord’s seized criminal fortune, estimated at $14 billion, to be used only to secure our border and bolster our border patrol.

Mexican criminals will pay for our security from their activities. Certainly this would significantly reduce the flow of illegal immigrants and the smuggling of drugs into our country. I did not learn of this good news from the biased news media, but from the U.S. Border Security Council — www.usbordersecurity.info.

It is clear that any U.S. senator or representative who opposes this bill is not acting in the best interest of our country.

Contact our Virginia senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, and your congressman as well, to insist that they get this done. U.S. Capital switchboard is 202-224-3121.
