Last Wednesday members of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office Patrol and Narcotics Units conducted an investigation on the 700 block of Doe Run Road in Rocky Mount and made arrests on charges of possession and intent to distribute.

The investigation led to the seizure of 20.5 grams of methamphetamine and schedule II narcotics.

James Todd Smith, 53, of Glade Hill was was arrested on charges with intent to distribute schedule I or II controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance.

A second suspect, Jennifer Diane Dillon, 37, also of Glade Hill, was arrested on charges of possession with intent to distribute schedule I or II controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of narcotics inside of a jail facility.
