Plastic bag with crystalline substance found on Hardy man during traffic stop.

A Franklin County Sheriff’s deputy pulled a vehicle over 1000 block of Brown Hill Road in Ferrum Dec. 27 around 10 p.m. for no tag lights and erratic driving The deputy searched the vehicle and found a plastic bag containing a crystalline substance that later tested positive for methamphetamine. The driver of the vehicle was a 32-year-old Hardy man, Bobby Christopher Perdue. Perdue was arrested and charged with fifth degree felony possession of a schedule I or II controlled substance and released on a $5,000 secured bond.
