The Phoebe Needles Center in Callaway will host an event on Sept. 10 for its monthly Center for Lifelong Learning program for active senior citizens.

Jamie Mize, designer and overseer of the children’s art programs at Franklin County Public Library, will present “Genealogy: Digital Diving and Paper Perusing.”

The discussion will introduce basic search methods for ancestry.com, along with how to use Ancestry’s Fold3 collection of military records. Mize will also explain the resources available through the Mann room at the Franklin County Public Library.

The program will begin at 10 a.m. in McCauley Hall. Guests may arrive at 9:30 a.m. for social time and coffee. Lunch will follow immediately after the program at noon.

Reservations are required by calling the Phoebe Needles Center at 483-1518 by Friday, Sept. 6. The cost to attend is $18 ($10 for CLL members) and is nonrefundable after the reservation deadline. For more information, visit www.phoebeneedles.org.
