Tickets are now on sale for the Franklin County Historical Society’s “Ghosts! Murder & Mayhem” tour set for Oct. 28.

The annual evening production will begin at 6:30 p.m. at the American Legion Building on Tanyard Road in Rocky Mount. Characters will tell stories of local ghosts, murders and other events that have taken place in the town over the years. Special effects will be used to enhance scenes along the tour. Tickets for the evening tour are $15 per person.

This year’s tour will also offer daytime touring for the first time at 10 a.m. The guided tour will take place at the High Street Municipal Cemetery and continue with a self-guided tour of the town. Tickets for the daytime tour are $25 per person.

Maps for those participating in the tour will include directions to sites as well as coupons offering discounts at local businesses. Coupons can be used on Oct. 27 and 28. Anyone who visits a minimum of five businesses will be entered into a drawing on the evening of Oct. 28 for a cauldron full of ghost-themed items and a bound souvenir tour booklet.
