The Franklin County Sheriff’s Office is requesting assistance from the public in solving several thefts from motor vehicles.

Between June 27 and June 30 six vehicle break-ins were reported in the Burnt Chimney and Westlake communities, along Stoneybrook Road and Chestnut Pointe Drive.

Sgt. J.P. Nolen said the suspect(s) have taken an estimated $600 worth of items from vehicles, including one firearm. He added the vehicles appear to have been unlocked, and the items taken were quick-grab items.

Sheriff’s deputies believe the break-ins occurred between 1 and 5 a.m.

Officials request anyone with information contact the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department or Nolen at 483-6662.
