Search leads to arrest: While conducting a drug-related search warrant in the 2000 block of Timber Ridge Road in Glade Hill, Feb. 12, Franklin County Sheriff’s deputies found methamphetamine in the possession of a 45-year-old Rocky Mount man. Deputies say the man also provided false information as to his identification. He was charged with possession of methamphetamine and providing false information to law enforcement and taken to Franklin County Jail.
Stolen BBQ leads to felony charge: Franklin County Sheriff’s Office took a report of a stolen black BBQ smoker Feb. 8 in Rocky Mount. Law enforcement received information leading to the location of the smoker in Roanoke. Upon serving the search warrant for the smoker Roanoke Police recovered a large amount of stolen goods, drugs and money. A 62-year-old Rocky Mount man was charged with grand larceny. The case is currently under investigation and additional charges may be pending.
