FRIDAY (OCT. 31)

The RMPD's Halloween Trunk or Treat scheduled for tonight has been canceled.

The Ferrum Volunteer Fire Department will handout treats to children from 5 to 8 p.m.

SATURDAY (NOV. 1)

A spaghetti dinner and bake sale is being held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Redeeming Life Pentecostal Holiness Church for Kathy Hall who is battling cancer. Plates are $6 for adults and $3 for children and include spaghetti, salad, dessert and drink.

The First Saturday Rocky Mount Writers Group will hold its inaugural potluck meeting at 1 p.m. at the home of Ann Cook at 265 Maple Ave. in Rocky Mount.
