FRIDAY (OCT. 24)
The Hospital Ladies Auxiliary will sponsor a $5 jewelry and accessories sale from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the CFMH auditorium.
Staff members from Congressman Robert Hurt's office will hold local office hours from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Franklin County Government Center.
Boones Mill Elementary will host its fall festival from 5 to 8 p.m. There will be a haunted house, golf cart rides, games, music, food, crafts, face painting, candy and inflatables. Admission is $4. Children 2 and under enter free.
SATURDAY (OCT. 25)
The 12th annual Ghosts & More will be held. Tickets are $15 and available at the Franklin County History Museum. For more information, call 483-1890.
Trinity Mission will host Wirtz Assembly of God Praise Team at 7 p.m.
The Franklin County Perinatal Education Center will hold a yard sale from 7 a.m. to 2 p.m.
An art celebration at 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Early Inn at The Grove with 20 artists. Food from Bootleggers Cafe and adult beverages will be for sale. Guided tours of the new inn will be offered for a donation. No charge to attend the art show. The event benefits the Franklin County Historical Society.
A benefit fundraiser for Dicey France, who is battling liver cancer, will be held at the Crossroads Ruritan Building at 6 p.m. There will be BBQ and fish plates, a raffle, 50/50 drawing and live music.

Trinity Mission will host singing with Carole Gaubatz at 7 p.m.

FRIDAY (OCT. 31)
The RMPD will host a Halloween Trunk or Treat from 4 to 6 p.m. at the emergency services building in Rocky Mount. All children are invited to attend. Meet a police K-9 and sit behind the wheel of a patrol car.
SATURDAY (NOV. 1)
A spaghetti dinner and bake sale is being held from 4 to 7 p.m. at Redeeming Life Pentecostal Holiness Church for Kathy Hall who is battling cancer. Plates are $6 for adults and $3 for children and include spaghetti, salad, dessert and drink.
SATURDAY (NOV. 8)
"Aging with Grace and Good Humor" will be presented by The Rev. Jane Sigloh at the Phoebe Needles Center at 10 a.m. Cost is $25 per person and includes lunch. To register, call 483-1518.
