A Rocky Mount man faces up to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty Monday in Franklin County Circuit Court to distribution of methamphetamine.
Danny Lee Wray, 45, was also charged with manufacturing meth, possession of ingredients to make meth and possession of meth.
However, those charges were dismissed in return for Wray's guilty plea to distribution of methamphetamine.
Wray was arrested on Feb. 3 after a controlled buy of meth was arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, according to prosecutor Dwight Rudd. The illegal drug was purchased for $50.
A search warrant was later executed on Wray's residence on Stone Lane, where meth and ingredients to manufacture meth were found, Rudd said.
A sentencing hearing for Wray is set for Sept. 8 at 8:45 a.m. in circuit court.
