The Franklin County Relay for Life will kick off tonight at 6 p.m., starting with the Survivors Walk.
As usual, the event will be held at the Franklin County High School track field and last through the night.
Relay teams have been working for months to raise money, which goes to the American Cancer Society. The goal this year is $111,200.
Teams will be camped out around the track, and at least one member from each team will be walking the track all night, until closing ceremonies at 6 a.m. on Saturday.
Plenty of activities are scheduled, many for children, and include music and games.
During the event, teams will still be raising money. Some teams will be selling food for donations.
At around 9 p.m. luminaries that have been placed around the track will be lit, honoring cancer victims.
Organizers urge residents to stop by the track tonight and participate.
