Antique tractors lined up at Lowes in Rocky Mount last year for the annual parade of tractors to kick off Southwest Virginia Antique Farm Days. This year’s parade is set for Sunday, June 8.

An antique tractor parade through parts of Rocky Mount is set for Sunday, June 8 to promote Southwest Virginia Antique Farm Days, June 13-15 at the Franklin County Recreation Park.
The parade will begin at 3 p.m. from the Lowes parking lot. The route will proceed as follows:
The parade will turn left onto Old Franklin Turnpike and proceed to where it changes into Tanyard. It will turn onto Pell and proceed and turn onto U.S. 220 North at Angle Bridge and then left on Franklin Street.
The parade will then turn right on Hatcher Street, stopping at Trinity Mission about 3:30 p.m.
The parade will depart Trinity Mission about 4:30 p.m., turn right onto Hatcher Street and then left onto Franklin Street.
At the intersection of Floyd Avenue, the parade will turn right then the left onto U.S. 220 Business, proceed to Tanyard Road and then to Franklin Turnpike at Lowe's about 5 p.m.
Persons owning antique or old tractors are invited to participate in the parade by bringing their tractor to Lowes prior to the start of the parade.
