Over 160 men and women attended the 16th annual Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin County Card Party and Luncheon fundraiser last week at the Water's Edge Country Club in Penhook.
Sherry Sydenstricker, volunteer coordinator, said proceeds from the event totaled $13,570, which will benefit terminally ill patients being treated by Carilion Clinic Hospice in Franklin County through the Patient Care Fund, which provides medication, oxygen, food, medical supplies, phone services and clothing.
"Thank you to all who participated this year in Carilion Clinic Hospice of Franklin's 16th annual card party and luncheon," said Sydenstricker. "To all the volunteers, businesses and individuals that partnered together to make this event the success that it was, I offer to you, on behalf of Carilion Clinic Hospice Franklin Team, our most sincere gratitude for your kindness, generosity and support."
