A Callaway man will serve three years and four months of a 30-year sentence for selling heroin.
Jason Richard Price, 30, pleaded "no contest" in January to two distribution charges and one charge of possession of heroin with intent to distribute.
Two charges of child abuse and one charge of heroin distribution were dismissed.
Price was also sentenced to six years probation and ordered to be of good behavior for 30 years. He was also ordered to enter a substance abuse program.
The charges were the result of controlled buys of heroin, arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, made from Price at his home on April 30 and May 28, 2013, according to prosecutor Dwight Rudd.
A search warrant was executed at his residence on May 29, and 48 bags of heroin were found inside a nightstand in a bedroom, Rudd said. Investigators also found $400 in cash.
During the search, two children were found inside the home, Rudd said, which resulted in the child abuse charges.
