A Ferrum man faces up to 40 years in prison after pleading guilty last week in Franklin County Circuit Court
to two charges of distribution of oxycodone.
A third charge against Christopher Scott Underwood, 23, of distributing hydrocodone/acetaminophin was dismissed through a plea agreement.
Prosecutor Dwight Rudd said the the drug transactions were controlled buys, arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The oxycodone sales occurred on May 17 and May 18, 2013, Rudd said, in a restaurant parking lot in Franklin County.
The buy on May 17 was three oxycodone pills for $65. The drug buy on May 18 was one oxycodone pill for $30.
A sentencing hearing for Underwood is set for April 18 at 9:30 a.m. in circuit court.
