Dailey & Vincent, the three-time International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) Entertainers of the Year, will bring their blend of bluegrass, country and gospel to the Franklin County High School auditorium on Friday, March 14.
The show, which begins at 8 p.m., is sponsored by the Rocky Mount Lions Club.
In addition to the Entertainer of the Year awards, Dailey & Vincent have also captured IBMA awards for vocal group of the year (2008, 2009 and 2010), album of the year in 2008, and male vocalist of the year (Jamie Dailey) in 2008.
The duo also received an award for their gospel performances of "By the Mark" in 2008 and "On the Other Side" in 2009.
Formed in 2008, Dailey & Vincent is the pairing of well-known performers, Jamie Dailey, former lead singer and guitarist for Doyle Lawson and Quicksilver, and Darrin Vincent, who was guitar and mandolin player and harmony vocalist with Ricky Skaggs and Kentucky Thunder. He is also the brother of singer Rhonda Vincent.
The duo was also nominated for two Grammy awards -- Best Bluegrass Album for "The Gospel Side of Dailey & Vincent" in 2013 and Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocals for "Elizabeth" in 2011.
Completing the band's membership are Jeff Parker, Christian Davis, B.J. Cherryholmes, and Jesse Baker, who was born in Martinsville.
Tickets for the concert are $20 each and may be purchased in advance at Cox's Fashions, Ferrum Minute Market, Redwood Minute Market, Hall's Music, Haywood's Jewelers and Hutchinson Insurance Agency.
