A Boones Mill man was found guilty last week in Franklin County Circuit Court of assault, threatening to bomb a neighbor's house and disorderly conduct.
Michael Lee Divers, 33, faces up to 10 years in prison on the bomb threat conviction and one year each on the assault and disorderly conduct convictions.
Divers was arrested after he assaulted a neighbor on Sept. 15, 2013, according to prosecutor Cooper Brown. Divers drove a four-wheeler onto his neighbor's property in a threatening manner. The neighbor was on a lawn mower at the time.
After Divers was arrested and was being transported to the sheriff's office, Divers told a deputy that he could make a phone call and have his neighbor's house blown off its foundation, Brown said.
Once at the sheriff's office, Divers cursed the magistrate during the video conference call and spit twice at the television screen, Brown said.
The sentencing hearing for Divers is set for May 1 at 3 p.m. in circuit court.
