Child abuse, illegal drug possession and forcible sodomy charges are among indictments returned by a Franklin County grand jury Monday.
An indictment is not a finding of guilt. It is a determination by jurors that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.
Indictments returned by the grand jury:
•Andrea Aldaba, with intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill, cause bodily injury to a child, Sept. 1, 2013; two counts of negligently cause or permit the health of another person to be injured or to cause or permit the person to be tormented, beaten or cruelly treated, Sept. 1, 2013; two counts of assault and battery of a child, Oct. 1, 2013; and four counts of contribute to, encourage or cause an act, omission or condition that rendered a minor child abused or neglected or in need of services or supervision, Oct. 1, 2013.
•Ernie L. Alteri, possess a controlled substance not obtained from a valid prescription, Sept. 23, 2013; and possess marijuana not obtained from a valid prescription, Sept. 23, 2013.
•Joseph Kent Arrington, fail to appear in Franklin County General District Court, Jan. 23.
•Benoit Freddy Bougniart, take, steal and carry away two firearms, Nov. 18, 2013.
•James Thomas Bradley, take, steal and carry away goods and chattels having a value in excess of $200, Nov. 18, 2013.
•Daniel Lee Brooks, possess a firearm after having been convicted of a felony, Sept. 29, 2013.
•Rehannas W. Casey, receive a stolen firearm from another person or aid in concealing a firearm knowing that the firearm was stolen, Feb. 5.
•Stephen Vance Chitwood, take, steal and drive away a motor vehicle having a value in excess of $200, Jan. 2; and take, steal and carry away a firearm, Jan. 2.
•Matthew D. Cline, two counts of sell or distribute Hydrocodone and acetaminophen, April 26 and July 31, 2013.
•Ashley Conner Lafferty, make a false report as to the commission of any crime to a law enforcement official with the intent to mislead, Jan. 24.
•Jock Dixon Overfelt, three counts of obtain money under false pretense with each count having a value in excess of $200, Oct. 2, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, 2013; and three counts of conduct a financial transaction where he knew the property involved in the transaction represented the proceeds of an activity which is punishable as a felony, Oct. 2, Oct. 30 and Nov. 6, 2013.
•Steve Clifton Pagans, possess precursors, with the intent to manufacture methamphetamine, methcathinone or amphetamine, Dec. 13, 2013.
•David Bruce Pendleton, assault a family or household member after having been previously twice convicted of assault and batter of a family or household member within the last 20 years, Oct. 11, 2013.
•Tabitha Nicole Rigney, fail to appear in Franklin County Circuit Court while charged with a felony, Feb. 27.
•Justin Earl Robinson, engage in cunnilingus or forcible sodomy with such act(s) being accomplished against the will of another person by force, threat or intimidation, or through the use of the person's mental incapacity or physical helplessness, Feb. 8; and did, with an object, sexually abuse the person against that person's will, by force or intimidation, or through the use of that person's mental incapacity or physical helplessness, Feb. 8.
•Tereze Donnel Smith, sell or distribute cocaine, Jan. 14.
•Travis Wayne Spradlin, with the intent to commit larceny, break and enter a dwelling house, Jan. 15; and take, steal and carry away goods and chattels having a value in excess of $200, Jan. 15.
•Samantha Dawn Thomas, with the intent to testify falsely, give testimony under oath as to any material matter or thing and subsequently to give conflicting testimony under oath as to the same thing, Feb. 25.
•Thomas Tolliver, possess cocaine, Sept. 1, 2013.
•Jerry Dan Weaver Sr., with the intent to maim, disfigure, disable or kill, cut and wound another person, Sept. 20; impede the blood circulation or respiration of another person by applying pressure to that person's neck without the person's consent, resulting in wounding or bodily injury, Sept. 20, 2013; shoot within a building occupied by one or more persons putting their lives in peril, Sept. 20, 2013; and stab, cut or wound another person in the commission of, or an attempt to commit, a felony, Sept. 20, 2013.
•Heather Michelle Wooldridge, make a false statement or representation to a law enforcement officer who was investigating a crime by another, April 26, 2013.
•Randall Todd Young, three counts of obtain Oxycodone by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation or subterfuge, Aug. 26, March 6 and Oct. 18, 2011.
