A Rocky Mount man faces up to one year in prison after he pleaded guilty Thursday in Franklin County Circuit Court to two charges of distribution of hydrocodone.
Justin Durand Menefee, 31, pleaded guilty to selling the controlled drug on Feb. 12, 2013, and on June 19, 2013, through controlled buys, arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Menefee sold 10 hydrocodone pills for $60 on Feb. 12 at a location near Route 619, according to Tim Allen, commonwealth's attorney.
On June 19, Menefee sold five hydrocodone pills for $10 in a parking lot near Windy Lane in Rocky Mount.
Through a plea agreement, Menefee will serve no more than one year in prison, based on sentencing guidelines, Allen said.
Menefee's sentencing hearing is set for April 14 at 3:30 p.m. in circuit court.
