A Rocky Mount man faces up to 40 years in prison after he pleaded guilty Wednesday in Franklin County Circuit Court to heroin distribution.
Richard Lee Isner III, 29, sold four packets of heroin during a controlled buy, arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office, according to Franklin County Commonwealth's Attorney Tim Allen.
On Oct. 2, 2012, Isner was contacted about buying heroin, Allen said. Isner traveled to Roanoke with the caller to obtain the heroin.
When the two men returned to Franklin County with the drug, Isner sold the heroin to the caller for $120.
Isner's bond was revoked after Tuesday's hearing, so he will remain in jail until his sentencing hearing, set for April 18 in circuit court.
