A Hardy man will serve two years and one month of a five-year prison sentence for selling prescription painkillers.
Anthony Carmello Mazzotta, 45, pleaded guilty in November to one count of distributing Oxycodone.
Mazzotta was also sentenced to three years probation, during which he must obtain his GED and abstain from using alcohol or drugs, according to prosecutor Cooper Brown.
He was also ordered to be of good behavior for seven years.
Oxycodone was purchased from Mazzotta at his residence on Edwardsville Road for $20 on April 24, Brown said. The controlled drug buy was arranged by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
