Franklin County High School has recently installed an early warning system. The manufacturer of the system, along with school staff members, will be testing the system this Friday at 4 p.m. A series of test announcements will be audible to residents living near the high school campus. School officials have notified the Franklin County Sheriff's Department and the Rocky Mount Police Department of the impending test and do not want area residents to be alarmed. The system is part of schools' safety management plan.
