Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC) will present acoustic bluesman Roy Book Binder on Friday, Sept. 20 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.

Binder has been touring and entertaining audiences since 1976 when he boarded a tour bus in Greenwich Village and traveled for 15 years. He's toured with Bonnie Raitt, J.J. Cale and Hot Tuna, among others, playing a balance of country blues, folk, ragtime and Tin Pan Alley favorites, Dixieland jazz and old medicine show ditties.

His combination of music and humorous stories is designed to capture the audience.

Tickets are available at the Smith Mountain Lake Visitors Center, The General Store and Radio Shack for $17 for SMAC members and $20 for non-members.

Tickets can also be purchased by sending a check and a self-addressed stamped envelope to SMAC, P.O. Box 70, Moneta, VA 24121.

Contact Mike DeGiorgi at 540-719-0686 for additional information.
