Police are searching for a Rocky Mount teen who they believe has run away.
Taquilla Rashae Hall, 17, was last seen at her Friendly Street residence on Aug. 1, according to Lt. Todd Maxey with the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
"At this time, our information indicates that Taquilla left of her own free will, and no foul play is suspected," Maxey said. "We would like to locate Taquilla to verify her well-being and reunite her with her guardians."
Evidence suggests that Taquilla had planned to run away, and she took several personal items with her when she left her residence on Aug. 1, Maxey said.
Reports indicate she may have been in the Christiansburg area as well as the Henry County area since she was last seen at her residence, he added.
Taquilla is a biracial female, 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 180 pounds. She has long brown hair and brown eyes.
Anyone with information is asked to call the sheriff's office at 483-9227.
