Construction numbers in Franklin County last month saw an increase in building permits and an increase in the value of those permits, compared to the same month last year.
A report by the county building inspections department shows that 128 building permits were issued in June 2013, up from the 104 permits that were issued in June 2012.
The value of the building permits issued last month totaled $7,321,744, up from $4,574,537 in June 2012.
Twelve building permits were issued in June for new residential homes with a total value of $4,695,000.
Eleven building permits were issued in June 2012 for new residential homes with a total value of $2,220,186.
Manufactured home permits (single and doublewide homes) totaled two in June, and building permits issued for additions and alterations and accessory buildings totaled 40.
Fees collected from all permits issued last month totaled $43,742.
A total of 533 inspections were conducted in June, and inspectors drove 7,354 miles to conduct those inspections.
