ARLINGTON -- Marymount University led 6-4 at halftime and held on for an 11-7 men's lacrosse win Wednesday over Ferrum College.
Nick Smith and Ethan Wakefield tallied a pair of goals each to lead the Panthers (8-7), who suffered their second straight loss.
Ian Gordon led the Saints with four goals on eight shots.
Marymount (6-3) outshot Ferrum 42-37.
Nico Burns and Connor Kellogg each scored two goals with Kellogg distributing four assists.
Andrew Senft, Will Walter and Daniel Batong each netted a goal for Ferrum.
Goalkeeper Damian Pulos made 16 saves for the Panthers and Derek DiGiovanni stopped 18 shots for the Saints.
Ferrum returns to action Saturday, April 13 at Greensboro (N.C.) College.
Faceoff is 2 p.m.
The Panthers complete their 2013 campaign with a home match against Christopher Newport University, Saturday, April 20.
