FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. -- Ferrum College pitchers Tyler Easterly and Jake Perkins have been honored by the USA South Athletic Conference for their work on the mound last week which helped the Panthers win three of four games.

Easterly, a senior who hails from Woodbridge, has been selected Pitcher of the Week and Perkins, a freshman who hails from Appomattox, has been chosen Rookie Pitcher of the Week.

Easterly was 1-0 in two appearances totaling 10 innings. He yielded an unearned run, four hits, a walk and struck out five.

Easterly worked an inning in relief in the Panthers' 8-7 extra-innings win over Hampden-Sydney and tossed a complete-game three-hitter in Ferrum's 3-1 conference triumph over LaGrange (Ga.) College.

Perkins tossed a perfect inning of relief in the victory over Hampden-Sydney and pitched eight innings in a starting assignment against LaGrange in a game the Panthers won 7-1.
