Construction in Franklin County increased in February, based on the number of building permits that were issued and the value of those permits, compared to the same month in 2012.
A report by the county building inspections department shows that 94 building permits were issued in February, up from the 87 permits that were issued in February 2012.
The value of all building permits issued in February totaled $3,307,187, up from $3,166,663 in February 2012.
Seven building permits were issued last month for new residential homes. The total value of those homes was $1,757,400.
Manufactured home permits (single and doublewide homes) totaled six in February, and building permits issued for additions and alterations and accessory buildings totaled 34.
Fees collected from all permits issued in February totaled $18,346.
A total of 518 inspections were conducted last month, and inspectors drove 6,099 miles to conduct those inspections. |
