On Saturday, Liberty Christian Academy (LCA) bested the Eagles (2-2) 11-7.

Hylton led 5-0 before the Eagles scored.

Hylton scored once in the top of the first on base hits by Austin Magestro and Andrew Scrubb, a walk and a wild pitch.

In the second frame, Alec Bettinger singled and scored, and Scrubb led off the third innng with a solo home run as Hylton pushed the spread to 3-0.

Will Frazier and Bettinger each collected singles in the top of the third.

A fielder's choice and a Magestro double in the fourth put Hylton in front 4-0.

In the fifth, a one-out base hit and consecutive, two-out singles by Bettinger and Jeovan Sneed enabled the Bulldogs to manufacture their final run.

The Bulldogs got a sixth-inning triple from lead-off batter Brady Zinda, but failed to score.

Bettinger was the winning pitcher for Hylton, while Bridges was charged with the loss for the Eagles.

LCA scored single runs in the first and second frames and turned a 2-1 edge into a 5-1 advantage by tallying three runs in the bottom of the fourth.

The Eagles used a two-run fifth to pull within two runs, 5-3, before LCA responded with four runs in the fifth and two in the sixth.

FCHS rallied for four runs in the seventh to produce the final score.
