The annual SMLA Town Hall Meeting will be held at 6 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish. Topics will include water release from SML, grass carp introduction, and SML program updates.
A breast cancer support group will meet at the Smith Mountain Lake YMCA. Andrea Fansler will give a class on yoga.

The Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument will hold its annual membership meeting at 10 a.m. at the visitor center. Guest speaker will be John D. Long, the director of the Salem Museum and senior lecturer in history at Roanoke College.

The Friends of Booker T. Washington National Monument will celebrate Dr. Washington's 157th birthday with the second annual Legacy Birthday Dinner from 6 to 9 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Church. Guest speaker will be Dr. James A. Holmes, the only principal of Booker T. Washington Elementary School and the first African American national park ranger.
