| Seneff captures 2nd NW Region championship |

LANDOVER, Md. -- Franklin County senior Coy Seneff, who recently signed a nationa letter-of-intent to continue his track and field career at NCAA Division I Radford University, captured the boys' pole vault championship for the second year in a row at Wednesday's Northwest Region indoor track and field meet at the Prince George Sportsplex.
Seneff won the event by clearing the bar at 14 feet.
Teammate Bram Chaconas finished fourth at 12 feet. Both Seneff and Chanconas earned Group AAA state championship berths with their finishes.
Also qualifying was Ryan Wade who finished fourth in the boys' shot put with a throw of 45 feet, 3 inches.
Seneff, Chaconas and Wade accounted for all of FCHS's 20 points in the meet.
The Eagles finished 13th out of 20 teams. Forest Park won the boys' championship in 101 points.
In the girls' competition, Savannah Bowne tied for third and earned a Group AAA bid.
She accounted for all 5.5 points scored by the Eagles, who finished 18th.
