ROANOKE -- Roanoke Valley Christian School (RVC) surpassed the 20-point mark in each of the first three quarters Thursday en route to an 87-49 Virginia Association of Christian Athletics (VACA) Southwest District boys' varsity basketball triumph over Christian Heritage Academy.
The Eagles' victory is their second this season over the Knights (2-7 in the VACA Southwest, 5-8 overall).
RVC raced to a 25-11 first quarter lead and pushed the spread to 29 points, 54-25, at intermission courtesy of a 29-14 second-stanza blitz.
A 21-9 third quarter run put RVC in control, 75-34.
CHA won the fourth quarter 15-12.
Four players finished in double figures for the Eagles and six others contributed points to the victory.
Andrew Mullen, Buddy Long and Luke Stump each netted 16 points for RVC and Joe Bailey tallied 14.
Mullen (4), Stump (2) and Long combined to hit seven 3-point field goals for the Eagles.
Story Woolson paced CHA with 15 points.
Also scoring were Timmy Moyer, Cameron Ross and Kenny Toomey each with eight points, Jeremiah Stocker with seven and Joseph Keenan with three.
The Knights swished seven 3-pointers: two each by Moyer and Ross and one each by Toomey, Stocker and Keenan.
CHA concludes regular-season play Tuesday at home against Faith Christian School of Roanoke.
