Smith Mountain Lake Rotary Club President Dave English, right, presents a check for $1,500 to Karen St.Clair, director of volunteers for CASA under the Southern Virginia Child Advocacy Center in Rocky Mount. The advocacy center facilitates a multidisciplinary approach to the investigation, prosecution and treatment of child abuse and neglect cases. CASA, which is an acronym for Court Appointed Special Advocate, provides guidance for children who are involved in judicial proceedings.
