Three area animal welfare organizations will hold a SPAY-GHETTI fundraising dinner on March 8 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Casa D'Amici Italian Restaurant and Steakhouse in Downtown Moneta.
All proceeds from the dinner will be used to provide low-cost spay and neuter services to needy area residents. The funds raised will be split evenly by the sponsoring organizations.
Representatives of the participating organizations -- Bedford Humane Society (www.bhsva.org), Barn Cat Buddies (www.barncatbuddies.org) and All-American Mutt Rescue (www.allamericanmuttrescue.org) -- are asking that each diner make a minimum donation of $15 when purchasing tickets in advance and $17 when buying at the door.
Owners of Casa D'Amici are donating the use of the facility in Moneta, their services and the spaghetti dinner with marinara (sausage optional) and salad, bread and iced tea. A cash bar will be available.
