A Union Hall man was sentenced to 30 years in prison Tuesday in Franklin County Circuit Court on three cocaine distribution charges.
However, the sentence will be suspended if Shaun Lee Brandon, 27, is accepted into the the Virginia Department of Corrections' Detention and Diversion program and successfully completes the program.
The 12-month program is modeled after military boot camp.
Brandon was sentenced to 10 years in prison on each of the cocaine distribution charges.
Brandon will also be on probation for five years, once he is released, and was ordered by the court to be of good behavior for 40 years.
According to court records, cocaine purchases from Brandon were made on Feb. 15, 17 and 23, 2012, through purchases organized by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office. |
