Booker T. Washington National Monument will hold "Story Time Saturdays for Children" from 11 to 11:30 a.m. Park rangers will read a book focusing on stories related to Washington's lifetime from the Civil War through the Civil Rights period in America.
Author Gerald Borchers will give an author talk and sign copies of his book "Cops Don't Just Eat Donuts" at Westlake Library at 2 p.m. Books will be available for purchase and refreshments will be served. For more information, call 483-3098, option 3.

The Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park will present a lecture on "The Relocation of Cemeteries for the Smith Mountain Lake Project" with Doug Cooper and Jennifer Thompson from the Bedford Museum and Genealogical Library from 3 to 4 p.m. at the Discovery Center.
