The Moneta Ruritan Club has been selling community calendars for over 25 years. When the project began, Orie Byrd, a charter member of the club, recruited the Cassidy sisters to help with the sales. Now, these women are an integral part of each annual calendar sale. Above, Frankie Puckett, right, a member of the Moneta Ruritan Club, acknowledges Margaret, Peggy and Sara Cassidy, who help with calendar sales. The money earned by the Ruritan club is donated to various groups and organizations in the surrounding area. Sales for the 2014 calendars will begin in early summer.
