Union Hall District Supervisor David Cundiff will serve as Franklin County Board of Supervisors chairman for another year.
Cundiff, who was chairman during 2012, was approved unanimously for the position this year during the board's annual reorganization meeting Wednesday.
Blackwater District Supervisor Cline Brubaker will be vice chairman this year, replacing Snow Creek District Supervisor Leland Mitchell, who served in that position during 2012.
"I appreciate the confidence placed in me," Cundiff said, adding that he works with a "good bunch" of colleagues on the board.
The board also approved the meeting dates and times for 2013, as well as rules and procedures and holidays for county employees.
In other business, the board recognized Billie Wayne Stockton for his years of service at the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
Stockton retired last year and is now serving on the Rocky Mount Town Council.
"I appreciate the recognition," Stockton told the board. "Working (with the sheriff's office) was a rewarding experience."
Stockton said he can now spend more time with his family, church family, friends and continue work in the community.
"I enjoy serving people," he said.
The board's first regular meeting of 2013 will be held on Jan. 15.
