Franklin County's boys' junior varsity basketball team held Magna Vista to single-digit scoring in each quarter Tuesday en route to a 56-31 non-district victory at Samuel M. Hawkins-Central Gymnasium.

FCHS's victory is its second this season over Magna Vista.

The Eagles (4-0) led 15-8 after the first quarter and took the second period 16-8.

Leading 31-16 at halftime, FCHS pushed the spread to 16 points, 40-24, by taking the third quarter 9-8.

A 16-7 fourth-quarter run by the Eagles completed the rout.

Jacquez Hairston led the Warriors with 10 points.

Six other players scored.

Zedric Barnett netted a team-best 10 points to pace the Eagles.

Also scoring were Tyrick Williamson with nine points, C.J. Gravely and Nick Robertson each with eight, Nick Martin with five, Brice Arrington and Zach Clayborne each with four and Malik Harris, Caleb Shockley Rasmo Guadarrama and Tyler Bennett each with two.

FCHS plays Christiansburg tonight at 5:30 at Hawkins Gym.
