Smith Mountain Lake Lions Club member Ron Holasek presented two checks on behalf of the Lions club to Lake Christian Ministries (LCM), one for "A Child's Christmas" and another to purchase food.
The funds donated will be used to purchase toys and clothing for families in need at Christmas.
The funds allocated for food will be used to purchase fresh fruit that will be added to each family's Christmas breakfast bag. The bag includes pancake mix, syrup, sausage, cocoa mix, margarine, apple juice and fresh fruit.
Additionally, members of the Lions club will help pack the bags the day before distribution and help deliver the same bags to LCM's client's cars on delivery day. |
