In this season of Thanksgiving, I would like to acknowledge the hard work of Pat Koger, director of the United Way of Franklin County, and the generosity of our many community members, businesses and agencies who give of themselves and their finances to pursue the "Live United" philosophy.
We have been providing services to Franklin County for over 19 years and have been a partner with the United Way for 17 years. Over time, we have seen the United Way grow, evolve, flourish and struggle but it is due to the resilience of the mission and the organizational leadership that the United Way continues to remain ever committed, ever vigilant, and ever engaged to make our community responsive and united.
The impact of family and community-based violence touches us all. Promoting the well-being of abused and neglected children through treatment, advocacy, prevention and education provides the foundation for our services, and we are proud to have the United Way as a longstanding partner.
