Fraud, theft, drugs and child neglect among indictments

Fraud, thefts, illegal drug possession and child neglect were among the indictments returned by a Franklin County grand jury Monday.

An indictment is not a finding of guilt, but it is a determination by jurors that enough evidence exists to warrant a trial.

Indictments returned by the grand jury:

•Jonathan Troy Aguirre, by force, threat or intimidation, commit rape, July 25.

•Christopher Bryan Ayers, receive stolen goods having a value in excess of $200, knowing the goods to have been stolen, Oct. 21; buy or receive a firearm from another person or aid in concealing a firearm, knowing that the firearm was stolen, Oct. 21; and possess a firearm after having been convicted of a felony within the past 10 years, Oct. 21.

•Kenneth Ray Caldwell Jr., make a materially false statement or representation to a law enforcement officer who was in the course of conducting an investigation of a crime by another, June 11.

•Robert Anthony Chittum, take, steal and carry away a John Deere Gator having a value in excess of $200, May 17.

•Tom W. Cooper, contribute to, encourage or cause an act, omission or condition that rendered a minor child in need of services or supervision, or abuse or neglected, Nov. 14.

•Terry Joe Davis, operate a motor vehicle on the public highways after having his driver's license revoked and previously convicted seven times of driving revoked, Nov. 3.

•Allen Thomas Elder Jr., operate a motor vehicle on the public highways after having his driver's license revoked and previously convicted seven times of driving revoked, Nov. 21.

•Whitney Grace Flora, four counts of by fraud, deceit, misrepresentation or subterfuge, obtain hydrocodone/acetaminophen, between June 22 and July 17.

•Ernie Wesley Garraghty, take, steal and carry away goods and chattels having a value in excess of $200, July 16; and break and enter a dwelling house with the intent to commit larceny, July 16.

•William Franklin Harrison Sr., conceal or fail to disclose any event affecting the initial or continued right of an individual to any benefits or causing such concealment or failure to disclose such an event with the intent to secure fraudulently such benefits from medical assistance (Medicaid), between Aug. 1, 2009 and Aug. 31, 2009; fail to report a change in circumstances that affected his eligibility to receive public assistance and thereby did receive food stamps in excess of $200 to which he was not entitled, between Aug. 11, 2009 and Jan. 10, 2010; fail to report a change in circumstances that affected her eligibility to receive public assistance and there did receive food stamps in excess of $200 to which he was not entitled, between Jan. 11, 2010 and Aug. 31, 2010; with the intent to defraud, obtain money under false pretense having a value in excess of $200 from the Social Security Administration, Dec. 14, 2009; and make a false application for public assistance or swore or affirmed falsely to any matter required by the provisions of this title or to any information required on said form, Jan. 11, 2010.

•George Oscar Hodges, possess a firearm after having been convicted of a violent felony, Nov. 24; possess firearm ammunition after having been convicted of a violent felony, Nov. 24; and handle a firearm recklessly so as to endanger the life, liberty or property of another person, Nov. 24.

•Donald Lynn Law, two counts of failing to provide adequate food or water to a companion animal which he owned, May 31; and two counts of ill treat, abandon and/or deprive of necessary food, drink, shelter or emergency veterinary treatment of an animal, May 31.

•Brian W. McMillian, sexually abuse a child under the age of 13, Nov. 22.

•Garieth Brady Mullins, two counts of break and enter a dwelling house with the intent to commit larceny, July 5 and July 9.

•Steven Juan Ortiz, break and enter a dwelling house with the intent to commit larceny, between July 25 and Aug. 21.

•George James Schweigart Jr., possess a firearm after having been convicted of a non-violent felony within the last 10 years, Aug. 4.

•Tara Anne Scott, possess Heroin, Sept. 29.

•Shenna Amos Turner, illegally obtain oxycodone, May 21.

•Timothy Maurice Welch, possess cocaine, Oct. 4.

•Robert Aaron Williams, two counts of destroy property having a value in excess of $1,000, July 5 and July 9; destroy property having a value less than $1,000, between July 18 and July 21; three counts of break and enter a dwelling house with the intent to commit larceny, between July 5 and July 21; two counts of take, steal and carry away goods and chattels having a value of less than $200, July 5 and July 9; and operate a motor vehicle on the public highways after having his driver's license revoked and previously convicted six times of driving revoked, Nov. 25.

•Jackie Allen Woods, contribute to, encourage or cause an act, omission or condition that rendered a minor child in need of services or supervision, or abuse or neglected, Nov. 14.
