RIDGEWAY -- Zedric Barnett netted a team-best 16 points Wednesday to lead Franklin County to a 44-41 non-district boys' junior varsity basketball victory over Magna Vista.
Barnett tallied all of his points in the second half on seven field goals, two of which were 3-pointers.
Also scoring for FCHS (2-0) were Nicholas Robertson with eight points, C.J. Gravely with five, Zach Clayborne and Rasmo Guadarrama each with four, Nick Martin, Malik Harris and Tyrik Williamson each with two and Brice Arrington with one.
Trevarian Clark paced the Warriors (0-1), who were playing their season opener, with a game-best 20 points.
Five other players scored for Magna Vista.
FCHS returns to action tonight at home against Bassett. Tip off at Samuel M. Hawkins-Central Gymnasium is 7.
