Thirty-four Franklin County High School students were chosen for All-District Chorus, more than any other school.

Franklin County High School had the largest number of students, out of 40 schools in the district, chosen for All-District Chorus.
During the Nov. 3 competition, students individually sang "O Danny Boy" and also sight-read four measures of music.
The 34 Franklin County students who were chosen will rehearse and perform with other students selected to the All-District Chorus on Feb. 8 and 9 at George Washington High School in Danville.
"I thank God everyday for my voice," said freshman Katie Nichols. "We can't all be stars, but we can all twinkle."
The students are Amanda Sartell, Melanie Taylor, Marissa Huffman, Grace Keith, Jenna Montgomery, Shawna Murdock, Kaitlin Wray, Amanda Carter, Rice Akers and Samantha Austin, Katie Nichols, Carolanne Sink, Kayla Messenger, Hannah Wiggonton, Jayne Scott, Kristen Leary, Davanna Law, Toni Zeigler, Lida Bourhill and Becca Haynes.
Also, Michelle Manning, Kaitlyn Lawhorn, Brittany MacPherson, Mikala Reel, Rachael Ellis, Megan Perdue, Rebecca Bridges, Mariah Banks, Samantha Young and Avie Pagans, Cassidy Fischell, Cheyenne Landwehr, Rylee Mitchell and Elise Miller.
