The SML 4-H Center will have a "Beginning Your Artistic Journey: Exploring the World Famous Bob Ross Method" class from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Cost is $50. For more information, call Dennis Crowley at 721-2759, ext. 264.
The SML 4-H Center will hold an introduction to pistol shooting class from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Cost is $100 and includes instruction, practice firing and lunch. For more information, call Peter Fisette at 540-400-1070.

Life for One with guest speaker Julie Smith on coping with grief through the holidays will be held at 11 a.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish. Bring a lunch and drink.
The Friends of Smith Mountain Lake State Park will meet at 9:30 a.m. in the park Discovery Center. New members and visitors are welcome. For more information, call 297-6066.
SATURDAY, NOV. 24
The 2012 Flotilla For Toys Boat Parade of Lights
will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. The boats leave port from the Virginia Dare Marina at 7 p.m., travel to Halesford Bridge at Bridgewater Plaza, circle past the SML State Park and return to the Virginia Dare Marina. This event is a local toy drive with all gifts distributed by the Lake Christian Ministries.
