The Lakeside Singers will present "Gospel Music Around the World" on Friday, Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, Nov. 17 at 2 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.
The program will feature gospel music from various countries, some of which will be performed in native languages.
The Ferrum College Collegiates will join the Lakeside Singers for the second consecutive year.
Velshera Johnson will return as the music director, and Susan Spataro as accompanist on piano and flute.
Kiana Johnson and Rylee Suon, who have performed with the group since they were children, will return for a duet of "Child of Peace." Also, Bob Colia will sing some of the African numbers.
The Lakeside Singers ask guests to bring socks, gloves, hats, underwear, stuffed animals, small toys, and coloring books and crayons to be shared with the Stepping Stone Mission and Lake Christian Ministries. Donations will be distributed during the Christmas season.
Donations can be dropped off for the Sew Sisters at the General Store on Scruggs Road or brought to the Lakeside Singers concert.
Tickets are available at the General Store, Visitor Center at Halesford Bridge and Westlake Radio Shack.
Tickets are $8 in advance and $9 at the door.
