Lake Players of the Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC) will present "An Evening with Cole Porter and Friends" on Friday, Oct.19 at 7 p.m. at Trinity Ecumenical Parish.
The event will be a progressive evening, with a cheese, wine and soft drink party at the Smith Mountain Lake Gallery (next door to the Westlake Food Lion) from 5 to 6:30 pm
The progressive part is moving from the cheese and wine party to Trinity Ecumenical for a presentation of such Cole Porter hits as "Let's Do It," "Anything Goes," "Blow, Gabriel, Blow," "Another Opening, Another Show" and "From This Moment On."
Singers include Barb Abell, Philip and Tara Bouknight, Terry Broadwater, Bill Clutz, Kevin and Linda Leap, Bill More, Elda Nichols, Marion Wetcher, John Stroebel and Sandy Sampson.
Doors open at Trinity at 6:30 p.m. The musical event begins at 7 p.m.
