The second annual Franklin County Civil War Days at LakeWatch Plantation last weekend allowed visitors to step back in time and become a part of living history. The three-day event included military demonstrations, civil war vendors, encampments, period dress, and a skirmish between Calvary and artillery soldiers. The
highlight of each day's activities was the battle reenactment. Other activities included a Civil War period barn dinner and dance, drills and demonstrations, and conversations with Civil War "generals." The event was sponsored by the Franklin County CW 150 Committee and Franklin County Department of Commerce and Leisure Services. |
