The 2012 Franklin County Relay for Life raised more than $107,000 during this year's campaign, which ended Aug. 28.
Teams and individuals were recognized for their accomplishments during the wrap-up meeting Tuesday.
The money will be used by the American Cancer Society to fund cancer research and support programs, such as Road to Recovery and Look Good Feel Better.
Relay's main event, the 24-hour walk, was held June 22 at Franklin County High School.
Just as cancer affects families year round, the county committee is already planning the 2013 season.
For anyone who enjoys community outreach, organizing events, meeting new people and participating in a worthy cause, the committee is looking for volunteers. Positions include accounting, publicity, team recruitment, event planning and more.
Those interested in being part of the committee should contact Robin Minter at robin.minter@cancer.org or call the American Cancer Society at 866-638-8944.
