Break-ins at two more Franklin County businesses early Thursday morning are under investigation by the Franklin County Sheriff's Office.
The two burglaries at Ole School Pub and Grill (former Dudley Mart) and Dot's Grocery on Burnt Chimney Road were similar to the two break-ins earlier this week, according to Investigator Rick Toney.
The front door glass of both businesses was smashed with a rock, he said, and the cash registers were taken from both places.
"They (break-ins) definitely could be related," Toney added.
The first break-ins occurred early Tuesday morning at the Hubbly Bubbly tobacco store on U.S. 220 north and Raven's Country Store on South Main Street.
In both cases, investigators believe the suspects are two males based on surveillance video at the businesses, Toney said.
During Tuesday's break-ins, the suspects were dressed in hooded sweatshirts.
Anyone with information about these crimes is asked to contact Toney at 483-3000 or the anonymous crimeline at 483-6620. |
